Our Advocacy Training program is a week-long leadership and advocacy learning experience for young adults. Rooted in the experience of Columban missionaries and the communities they work with, we hope to lift up the voices of impacted communities by providing opportunities for them to share their stories and perspectives with policy-makers. In the end, the goal is to empower young adults to become advocates in their own communities.
While in DC, the students will:
- Meet with various partner organizations including the USCCB and other faith-based organizations.
- Meet with Members of Congress, and other government agencies to gain a deeper understanding of the advocacy process and how they can participate.
- Gain a deeper understanding of the Columban mission
